On Wednesday, October 22, firstPRO Staffing and Executive Search hosted their inaugural Diversity Breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead. The program featured April Nagel, CEO of firstPRO, Rosemary Jones of Turner Broadcasting and special guest speaker Nadia Bilchik, President of Greater Impact Communication.
Key industry leaders from many of Atlanta’s top companies like Delta Airlines, Cox Enterprises, Coca Cola Enterprises and Turner Broadcasting attended the roundtable event.
Keynote speaker Nadia Bilchik, a former reporter for CNN International, discussed several dimensions of diversity. “Besides the traditional categories like gender, race, ethnicity, there are also additional layers that include work experience, religion, education, regional background and personal style,” she said. “When we understand all the dimensions of diversity, then we can create an effective and diverse business environment that gives us the important multicultural perspective that will help you succeed.”
firstPRO plans to make this Diversity Breakfast a quarterly event.Future panels will cover issues of interest to top executives in Diversity Hiring positions from some of the most influential companies across the Southeast.
