Field Service Technician

firstPRO is seeking an Field Service Technician with strong desktop and network troubleshooting experience for a 12+ month full time contract to hire position with our client, a nationwide building supply distributor based out of Hammonton, NJ. Compensation is based on experience and ranges up to $36.00 per hour while on contract.

Field Service Technician – Responsibilities

  • Travel onsite to various distribution locations throughout the country to provide project-based Desktop, Network, and Systems support and administration
  • When not onsite, provide administration and support to end users nationwide via phone and remote tools
  • Participate in IT hardware related projects both onsite in Hammonton corporate HQ as well as onsite and locations throughout the country

Field Service Technician – Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or related subject matter desired
  • 5+ Years’ Experience in a IT Field Support role providing enterprise level administration and support to a large end user base at multiple locations
  • CompTIA A+ Certification, Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, MCP, ITIL, or similar desired
  • Strong Proficiency within administration of Microsoft systems including Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, PowerShell, SCCM, MDT
  • Proficiency with Desktop and Server Virtualization, VMware, Hyper V as well as cloud technologies AWS and Azure as they relate to a Desktop and Infrastructure perspective
  • Experience with Network Administration and troubleshooting, connection issues, VPN setup, routers and switches
