firstPRO is seeking a qualified Virtualization Storage Admin for our client, a large health organization located out of Allentown, PA. They are seeking an individual with experience in Sophos Proxy configuration and maintenance, Juniper Pulse VPN appliance configuration/maintenance, and SSL Certificate Management. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee the maintenance of the existing virtual server and virtual desktop environments.

Job Details

  • Compensation: $85.00 – $90.00/hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Onsite
  • Type: Contract to Hire

 

Responsibilities

  • Support virtual desktop and server environments
  • Oversee the maintenance of existing virtual server and virtual desktop environments
  • Handle upgrades and patches in support of vulnerability remediation
  • Assist in vendor support
  • Assist in production support
  • Stabilize business continuity plans
  • Ensure platform stability for all staff

 

Qualifications

  • General IT experience – 10+ years
  • Direct experience with VMWare 6.5-6.7 necessary, overall environment management, VM resource management
  • Knowledge of SAN platforms, enterprise storage, direct management a plus but general concepts required
  • Netapp preferred, EMC, HPE, other enterprise storage also ok
  • Familiarity with fiber channel protocol and interworking of a fabric network
  • Knowledge of DNS/DHCP and IP subnetting concepts
  • Previous experience supporting server hardware, preferably blade platforms HPE and Cisco UCS
  • Experience with Sophos Proxy configuration and maintenance
  • Experience with Juniper Pulse VPN appliance configuration and maintenance
  • Experience with SSL certificate management
