firstPRO is seeking a qualified IT Mobile Device Support Specialist for our client, a community support facility based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They’re looking for someone with strong device support experience with Apple, Samsung, and MS devices. The ideal candidate will be able to assist the Director of IT and IT Operations Specialist with the management and operation of mobile devices and their respective systems. They will be able to provide level 1 and 2 guidance and support to ensure mobile device management controls are properly maintained.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Compensation: $35 – $40/hour with benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)
  • Type: Contract to hire
  • 100% Onsite


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead project role of transitioning services between two vendors
  • Assist with getting users updated to the latest OS versions Review hardware lifecycle and assist with upgrades/refreshers as required
  • Tie together data from cellular usage with devices used, as well as identify extra lines of service (inclusive of WiFi devices)
  • Will interface directly with our customers/employees, offering real-time support and issue resolution
  • Provide support, at basic levels, to other IT related jobs if needed
  • Deploy and track mobile device assets including synching.
  • Create mobile device I.Ds and other account management functions
  • Oversee check-out and check-in of mobile devices for agency
  • Research instructional applications and possible needs for updates, changes, and staff requests
  • Work closely with other IT staff to ensure all systems are operating effectively
  • Assist with modifying and updating technical documentation, training documents, and reference guides
  • Conduct trouble shooting diagnostics.
  • Provide agency-wide training and support for end users of mobile data computer system and related equipment
  • Maintains inventory and library of software
  • Maintains reference library program documentation, and other pertinent technical reference materials
  • Conducts independent research and study to keep abreast of current mobile data computer advancements and technology
  • Monitoring user capacity and usage
  • Makes recommendations on system enhancements and sets priorities for implementation of any system upgrade
  • Performs related work as required
  • Develops and coordinates training programs for mobile device users
  • Review and coordinate any security –related audits (e.g., vulnerability scans)
  • Update and/or create technical and end-user documentation to support mobility operations
  • Coordinates installation of assorted mobile devices and peripheral devices, including set-up, installation of standard and special purpose software applications
  • Performs related work as required


Job Requirements

  • Must possess an Associate’s degree in computer science or information technology,
  • Associates degree from technical school, or minimum of four years of related work experience
  • 2+ years of experience required in mobile support, OS, and MDM client server
  • 2 + years of experience require in a regulated environment
  • Experience with configuring, managing, and supporting mobile devices
  • Experience working Mobile Device Management software
  • Familiarity with cellular carrier’s contracts and processes preferred
  • End user services experience with Windows 7/10 platform
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must have customer support experience, including support of end-users
  • Demonstrate experience in providing excellent and timely support to configure, customize and troubleshoot operational and unanticipated issues
  • Experience creating reports and follow up with end users, management and third parties as required to ensure compliance
