Sr. Lead Data Analyst
firstPRO is seeking a qualified Sr. Lead Data Analyst for our client, a large funeral services organization based out of Bensalem, Pennsylvania. They are looking for someone with a strong background in data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate would be experienced in data transfers, data integrations, MS Excel/command of data analytics tools, programming languages, and visualizations applications (e.g. SQL, VB, R, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)

- Schedule: Standard hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a live inventory of operational reporting from various IT-supported business applications
- Identify who needs these reports, how frequently, what data is critical to decision-making
- Utilize an array of data extraction and analytic techniques and systems acumen to deliver timely business insights to facilitate effective operational decision-making
- Support and maintain reporting systems, data automation systems, operational dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions and transform raw data into actionable business insights
- Understand data structures, tools, technologies and share your passion for using data to enlighten and change the way our processes work Identify, analyze, and recommend data-driven reporting and visualization solutions to sales, operational, and financial business challenges
- Research and contribute business user requirements to determine who would benefit from a data lake/warehouse and data visualization toolkit
- View data and understand how to visualize and support a business case of a data narrative while identifying data exceptions and understanding their significance Collaborate with business users to configure self-service reporting (e.g. SSRS)
- Develop strategies for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of data analysis and reporting, including automation of recurring tasks
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality control of data and deliverables
- Establish controls and processes to identify inconsistencies, irregularities, and other issues from an analysis of sales, operational, and financial data
Job Requirements
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in data reporting and analysis, inclusive of data transfers and/or integration with external sources, preferably with data integration platform
- Possesses exceptional skill with MS Excel and command of data analytics tools, programming languages and visualizations applications (e.g. SQL, VB, R, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
- Serves as an enthusiastic team-oriented problem solver, demonstrating advanced critical and strategic thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates strong understanding of business processes and their integration with data and other technological processes
- Applies sufficient retail industry knowledge, experience and best practices to synthesize and interpret data to support improvements in sales and operational performance
- Shows core understanding of and competent experience with using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: estimation, hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations
