firstPro is looking for a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for the completion of operational tasks to implement changes at operating companies, aligning their IT infrastructure and systems with that of our client, who has a strong foothold in the building products distributors industry. This role will be 100% on-site, and is in the Folsom, NJ area. Compensation is between $35-$40/ hour based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years desktop support
  • Extensive network and hardware experience
  • Process experience with PC deployments
  • Knowledge of implementation of new ERP through expertise in various technical areas
  • Ability to perform PC and peripheral refresh at remote locations
  • Required education – Degree in IT Management, Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent experience
  • WIN OS | PC Rollouts | Printers | Basic Networking (Routers, Switches, Wiring) |
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to support simultaneous efforts, in a multifaceted, fast-paced, nationwide organization experiencing rapid growth
  • Ability to work across time zones and geographies
  • Flexibility to cover occasional weekend work if projects or assignments necessitate activity when workers are out of the office as well as possibly having to work off-hours if there are critical problems requiring IT intervention
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time and bending, stooping, and maneuvering to locations of wires, computers, or network equipment and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds
