Sr. Data Engineer
firstPRO is seeking a qualified Sr. Data Engineer for our client, a large medical consulting company based out of Pennsylvania. They are seeking someone that will drive data design, architecture, and modelling as well as coordinate and work directly with business stakeholders in the collection and translation of specifications and requirements.

Job Details
- Compensation: $65 – $70/hour with benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)
- Type: Contract
- 100% Remote
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
Data modelling and architecture:
- Align source system data models with data warehouse environments.
- Create conceptual and logical models leading to physical implementation providing insights and guidance on data modeling best practices. Design, architect, implement, and support the ingest of key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business insights.
Data transformation:
- Design and implement highly sustainable and scalable infrastructure required to transform data into useful, actionable information.
Solution implementation:
- Manage multiple data projects, identifying business and operational needs, prioritizing, removing barriers, and demonstrating adaptability and embracing continuous learning.
- Ensure business needs are met by consulting with business partners and other key stakeholders.
Development, testing, and support:
- Implement analytics solutions using agile methodologies, data modelling and management tools, practices, and documentation.
- Work with business teams to ensure we maintain a suite of legacy solutions, including working with business teams to prioritize, manage, and resolve operational demand.
Data governance:
- Work with business owners to establish, educate & implement data governance processes, practices, policies, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, securely managing and storing data.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of professional IT experience working in a diverse and complex systems environment.
- At least 8 years of experience in developing complex data solutions with the Microsoft stack, including data and analytics products and services, Azure, SQL Server, etc. in on-prem/cloud/hybrid mixed environments.
- At least 8 years of experience in planning, designing, developing, and delivering complex, enterprise-level data solutions.
- Advanced experience in Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Business Intelligence, Data Mining, and Data Visualization.
- Good understanding of Revenue Channel Management business domain.
- Hands-on experience in modern development techniques (agile, devops, cloud development).
