firstPRO is seeking a qualified Endpoint Security Operations Consultant for our client, a large convenience store chain located in Pennsylvania. They are seeking someone that can assist with operating and maintaining endpoint security software and maintaining product compliance with McAfee EPO and associated software titles.

Job Details

• Compensation: $65 – $70/hour with benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)
• 100% Remote
• Type: Contract
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Work as part of a group responsible for operating and maintaining all McAfee security tools across store and corporate environment.
• Devices include Windows and MacOS workstations, Windows and Linux servers, (on prem and AWS based) and Windows endpoints in our 960+ stores. 21k+ devices overall.
• Provide technical support for the McAfee endpoint product suite, perform daily administration support, and maintain version status and compliance for all deployed products.
• Escalation of technical issues to the internal engineering team and/or McAfee OEM support as needed.
• Provide support in the capture of ePO and ePO-managed product data elements from database queries.
• Work from dashboards to identify and remediate systems out of compliance.
• Ensure communication and functionality of McAfee agents to and from devices across enterprise.
• Cross reference other tools to identify systems missing agents or other required security software.
• Assist tier one support personnel on troubleshooting steps to determine if security tools are causing performance or other issues.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience, preferably 3+ years on a Cyber security project using endpoint security management tools such as McAfee ePO.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with McAfee ePO, Agents and Endpoint Security highly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting anti-malware related performance issues, tuning settings and policies, implementation and tuning of exploit prevention and access protection rules.
• Experience with Linux, specifically RHEL, Ubuntu and CentOS.
