firstPRO is seeking a qualified Sr. PL/SQL Programmer for our client, a large manufacturer based out of New Jersey. They are seeking someone that has experience working with Web Services and has basic Unix Shell Scripting experience.

Job Details

• Compensation: $70 – $75/hour with benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)
• 100% Remote
• Type: Contract
• Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Provides support for business applications by investigating and resolving issues using back end and front-end system knowledge.
• Identifies opportunities and creates solutions for business process improvement through automation.
• Validates system requirements, both functional and non-functional, to support business processes and architectural needs.
• Documents and provides information to users and other Analysts to support project objectives, changes, training, and reference materials.
• Works with project managers, programmers, business partners, external vendors, QA testing teams and project leads to determine programming tasks, establish estimates, and schedule requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Requirements

• Strong experience with PL/SQL including creation and modification of views, tables, functions, and procedures using tools such as SQL Developer.
• Basic understanding of Unix scripts required.
• Experience working with Web Services.
• Experience with XML and scheduling packages (SFTP and OpCon)
• Knowledge of HTML and Data warehousing is a plus.
• Preferred experience working with Learning Management systems.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and take initiative to find solutions for business requirements.
