Senior Data Architect to design enterprise-level data warehouse solutions with conventional database warehouse technologies and maintain the corporate data warehouse environment.

 

The Senior Data Architect will be responsible for developing ETL solutions and managing automatized data flow. This individual will work with database engineers, data solutions architects, and database administrators to make architectural and implementation decisions. The Senior Data Architect will also oversee general data governance required for the data warehouse environment and related systems. The incumbent will function as a technical leader, making sure that the data architecture is secure and sustainable.

 

This position can reside in most US offices and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Regular working hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designs, implements, documents, monitors and maintains the Data Warehouse ETL processes including process timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and metadata.

  • Collaborates with business intelligence architects and business units to deliver data required for the BI platform.

  • Performs data analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of relational (normalized and de-normalized) and multi-dimensional data stores.

  • Interprets client functional and informational needs and turns them into data requirements, process models, and active systems, for both Data warehouse and operational applications.

  • Maintains and publishes architecture documents including data model diagrams, data integration coding standards, data dictionaries, and data mapping documents.

 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience with a minimum of 7 years designing, developing, and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions and 4 years of minimum experience in an architect role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Relational Database Management System

  • Extensive knowledge of complex SQL development and troubleshooting (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, indexes, scripts, etc.)

  • Expertise with an ETL tool, preferably SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
