IT Network Administrator
firstPRO is seeking an IT Network Administrator role for our client located in South Jersey. This is a contract to hire role and is 100% on-site. Compensation for this position is up to $40/ hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the administration of various internal & external IT systems
- Responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of services, systems, and IT infrastructure including hardware, software, telecommunications, network, IT environment controls, etc. ensuring they work securely and reliably.
- Ensuring adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-level issues that require advanced technical knowledge.
- Requires a solid understanding of networking including but not limited to: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, NAT, Port Forwarding, vLAN, and Wireless.
- Coordinate and implement network upgrades.
- Recommends upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications.
- Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications.
- Creating user guides, training curriculum, policies, and other pertinent documentation for internal and external partners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control.
- Off-hours Duty – On-duty employee is required to be available and handle problems according to SOPs.
- Manage VoIP phones and their networks.
- Monitoring & Administration of backup process.
- Manage the IT Asset (Hardware and Software) throughout the life cycle.
- Ensure technical operational problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist to define and implement the short-term and long-term goals of the IT Department.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software; resolve user and system problems; perform related work.
- Design, build, configure, and maintain servers and workstations (for internal and customer systems).
- Experience with installation, configuration, and managing CCTV, access control, and intercom systems.
Qualifications:
- CompTIA Network+, A+, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience.
