We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Manager – Advanced Data Solutions. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing cutting-edge approaches for developing Digital Products using IoT streaming data. You will be responsible for various aspects including technology selection, development, testing, deployment, support, and documentation of our Big Data Digital Products.

Major Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of exceptional Front End and Big Data Engineers.
  • Collaborate with UX design and product management teams to drive innovation and shape our roadmap.
  • Guide large, cross-functional teams through complex A/B tests and product development endeavors.
  • Collaborate closely with web platform and API teams to define and enhance the underlying systems that support your projects and drive the evolution of our web architecture.
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade user interface software, empowering our Digital Products.
  • Develop and deploy data services and applications for both internal and external users of IoT data.
  • Oversee production support for all Digital products and associated applications.
  • Foster collaboration with various business functions such as Marketing, Maintenance, Finance, Fleet Services, Rental, and Vehicle Supply to leverage existing IoT data for the creation of new digital products and services.
  • Address GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) aspects related to IoT data, including data security, ownership, filtering, and risk profiling initiatives.
  • Maintain the technology perspective of the UI/UX – Big Data roadmap.
  • As the Big Data Applications Manager, lead your team in executing the IoT/Digital Products vision, transforming the company into a leading player in streaming IoT data and products.

Qualifications:
 

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology, demonstrating both professional and managerial capabilities.
  • Hold a degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, operations, management, or a related field (a master's degree is preferred).
  • Exhibit expertise in visual design, UX design, research, and micro-interactions, with a strong understanding of front-end coding constraints.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with effective UI design patterns across web and mobile platforms.
  • Showcase extensive proficiency in technologies, frameworks, and architecture such as Angular, Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, Application Servers, CI/CD, etc. Additional expertise in Python, Lambda architecture, Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL, In Memory databases, AWS, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Essentials, and Spring Cloud Data Flow is highly advantageous.
  • Possess significant knowledge in areas such as Data Visualization, Big Data, Streaming Data, Micro Services, and Cloud.
  • Show expertise in data definition, data profiling, and data quality.
  • Have experience and understanding of various analytical processes.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • A solid comprehension of data security and privacy technologies and processes.
  • Stay updated on key UI/UX and Big Data trends and frameworks.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in interacting with senior leaders and executives.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit exceptional presentation skills, capable of addressing large groups effectively.
  • Display experience in managing large complex IT projects and teams.
  • Ability to build and support business cases.
  • Proven track record of completing projects and achieving results in ambiguous work environments.
  • Strong leadership skills within project teams and the business community.
  • Ability to build and motivate teams, setting clear expectations.
  • Skillful at working across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts and practices.
  • A team player with a “Team First” attitude, actively contributing to meaningful brainstorming sessions.
