firstPRO is seeking an IT Network Technician to spearhead innovative solutions within our team. Your expertise in network systems will be pivotal as you collaborate with diverse professionals, contributing to the success of transformative projects. This is a 4–6-month contract opportunity, and candidates local to Philadelphia, PA are preferred. Compensation is up to $80/hr., based on experience.

Responsibilities:

    • Deploy, configure, and maintain intricate network systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams to design and implement cutting-edge network solutions.
    • Rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues, employing your expertise to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Execute routine audits and maintenance on networking equipment and systems, upholding their optimal performance.
    • Thoroughly comprehend technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute networking tasks.
    • Uphold strict compliance with industry regulations and security guidelines, fortifying the network's integrity.
    • Document all maintenance, repairs, and installations meticulously, fostering an organized record-keeping system.
    • Mentor junior technicians by sharing insights, providing guidance, and fostering their professional growth.
    • Collaborate with management to identify avenues for process enhancement, elevating overall efficiency.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating newfound knowledge into your skill set.
    • Foster effective communication with peers, project leads, and stakeholders, offering updates and strategic insights.

Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience in designing, supporting, and configuring enterprise networking (Cisco Nexus 9000), Data Center networking, Point to Point WAN*(Wide Area Network), OSPF, BGP, Cisco DNAC.
    • Proficiency in checkpoint firewalls, Cisco Meraki, Cisco VPN, Cisco Wireless.
    • In-depth knowledge of network security, including segmentation, ISE (Identity Services Engine), and related technologies.
    • Strongly preferred: CCIE certification or equivalent certifications.
    • Effective communication.
    • Bachelor's degree.
