Sr. Project Manager
firstPRO is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 2-year consulting opportunity, offering a hybrid work arrangement of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote. Candidate must live close to the Princeton, NJ are in order to be considered. Compensation for this role is up to $100/hr., based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the replacement of the current software (NuPark), which manages both parking and commuter management.
- The project is at the end of the RFP phase, with two SaaS vendors selected – one for parking management and another for commuter management.
- Expect to complete implementation by the end of June 2024, followed by approximately 1 year of follow-on work.
- Manage the replacement of the current software (HMS Odyssey/RezCenter), responsible for both student and rental housing management.
- This project is in its early stages, with an RFI set to be issued by the end of the month.
- The project faces an aggressive timeline due to the current vendor's product end-of-life announcement on December 31, 2025. The go-live date is targeted for July 1, 2025, aligned with the fiscal year.
- Collaborate with the client's Information Technology team, Project Sponsors, Project Leads, one or more Business Analysts, and Product Vendors.
- Execute project tasks, manage issues and risks, and report on project status, spanning from project initiation to close-out.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience, which includes software package deployments.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles and methodologies, as well as a track record of successfully implementing IT Projects within a complex organizational setting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster excellent interpersonal relationships, facilitate collaboration, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- The capacity to manage change and make project decisions that align with the institution's objectives.
